Based on the vote recapitulation plenary session of the Jambi Provincial Election Commission (KPU), eight legislative candidates (caleg) were declared to have won parliamentary seats on Wednesday (13/3/2024). Five of these candidates are newcomers, while the rest are incumbents.
“The highest vote count for the DPR RI was obtained by the Golkar Party's candidate, Cek Endra, with 101,112 votes,” said Jambi Provincial KPU member Yatno during a meeting in Jambi, as reported by *Antara* on Thursday (14/3/2024).
Cek Endra is a newcomer to the Indonesian Parliament (Senayan). Previously, he served as the Regent of Sarolangun from 2010-2022 and the Deputy Regent of Sarolangun from 2006-2010.
Also from Golkar, Hasan Basri Agus received 87,884 votes. He is an incumbent member of the DPR RI and former Governor of Jambi from 2010-2015.
Next, PDI-P cadre Edi Purwanto was declared elected to Senayan with 81,984 votes. Previously, he served as the Chairperson of the PDI-P Jambi DPD and the Chairperson of the Jambi Provincial DPRD.
Furthermore, the Jambi Provincial KPU also recorded 2,205,808 valid votes and 54,425 invalid votes.
The following are the vote counts for DPR candidates from the Jambi electoral district who have been declared elected to Senayan:
1. Cek Endra (Golkar): 101,112 votes
2. Hasan Basri Agus (Golkar): 87,884 votes
3. Edi Purwanto (PDIP): 81,984 votes
4. Syarif Fasha (Nasdem): 72,885 votes
5. H. Bakrie (PAN): 67,792 votes
6. Atalha Rocky Candra (Gerindra): 64,026 votes
7. Elfisina (PKB): 63,261 votes
8. Zulfikar Ahmad (Democrat): 50,927 votes
Meanwhile, for the 2024 Presidential Election recapitulation results, the candidate pair (paslon) number 2, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka, won in Jambi with 1,438,952 votes.
Candidate pair number 1, Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar, received 532,605 votes. While candidate pair number 3, Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD, only received 234,251 votes.
