Curly Red Chili Prices in Traditional Markets for the Period April 2025-2026

Based on the latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center (PIHPS) panel, the daily price of curly red chili in traditional markets of East Kalimantan province is recorded at Rp65,850. This price decreased by Rp2,900 compared to the previous day.

Meanwhile, compared to the past month, the daily price of curly red chili in traditional markets has increased from the previously recorded Rp54,000.

Over the past three months, the daily price of curly red chili in traditional markets in East Kalimantan has increased by 76.31% from the previously recorded Rp37,350.

The record increase in the daily price of curly red chili in traditional markets of this province was previously recorded in June 2019 with a 69.06% increase, while the lowest decrease was recorded in March 2025 with a -27.84% decrease.

According to PIHPS monitoring, among the nine staple food commodities monitored today in East Kalimantan, six commodities experienced price decreases and 25 others increased. The commodities with price decreases are Daily Chicken Eggs in Provincial Traditional Markets, Fresh Layer Chicken Eggs in Provincial Traditional Markets, Medium I Quality Rice, Super I Quality Rice, Super II Quality Rice, and Green Bird's Eye Chili in Provincial Traditional Markets.

4. Medium-sized Red Onions per Kg: Rp49,400 (up 26.34%)
5. Curly Red Chili per Kg in Provincial Traditional Markets: Rp65,850 (up 21.94%)
6. Fresh Layer Chicken Eggs per Kg in Provincial Traditional Markets: Rp28,950 (down 6.91%)
7. Large Red Chili per Kg in Provincial Traditional Markets: Rp69,600 (up 21.04%)
8. Red Chili per Kg in Provincial Traditional Markets: Rp67,750 (up 21.52%)
9. Medium-sized Garlic per Kg: Rp47,900 (up 4.47%)
10. Rice per Kg in Provincial Traditional Markets: Rp16,000 (up 0.31%)
