The Indonesian Survey Institute (LSI) released its December 2023 edition of electability ratings for political parties participating in the 2024 General Election.

The results predict that only eight parties will surpass the parliamentary threshold of at least 4% of the vote.

According to the LSI survey, as of early December 2023, the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) remains the most electable party, with 19.7% of respondents choosing it.

The party with the bull logo is in close competition with Gerindra, whose electability reached 18.2%.

Following behind are Golkar at 10.5% of respondents, PKB at 8.5%, Nasdem at 5.8%, PKS at 5.5%, Democrat at 5.4%, and PAN at 4.1%.

Parties other than those mentioned above received less than 4% of the vote.

"All current parliamentary parties scored above 4%, except for PPP. However, 13% of respondents stated they had not yet decided," said LSI Executive Director Djayadi Hanan in a virtual presentation of the survey on Sunday, December 10, 2023.

Along with PPP, PSI and Perindo also have a low chance of entering the parliament, with electability rates around 2%.

Meanwhile, the Ummat Party, Hanura, Garuda, Gelora, PBB, Labour Party, and PKN have electability rates below 1%.

This survey was conducted from December 3-5, 2023, involving 1,426 respondents across various regions of Indonesia.

Respondents were Indonesian citizens aged 17 years or older, or married, who owned a telephone, and are assumed to represent 83% of the total national population.

Sample selection used random digit dialing (RDD), which has been validated and screened.

Selected respondents were then interviewed by telephone by trained interviewers.

This survey has a margin of error of approximately 2.6%, a 95% confidence level, assuming random sampling.
