The Statista Consumer Insights survey revealed that many Indonesians benefit from using artificial intelligence (AI) applications for daily activities.
The proportion reaches 60% of the total Indonesian respondents surveyed last year. This percentage is the highest among other countries' samples.
Next are Saudi Arabia and Malaysia with percentages of 56% and 55% respectively.
Interestingly, the top positions on this list are occupied by developing countries, especially in Asia. Meanwhile, the middle-lower positions are held by Europe.
One of them is the Netherlands, with the lowest proportion on this list, just 24%.
"European countries generally seem to be more skeptical, or at least less enthusiastic, about this technology, while more respondents from Asian and Middle Eastern countries surveyed responded positively," wrote Anna Fleck, a Statista data journalist, on Thursday (29/1/2026).
Here are the details of the proportion of respondents in 15 countries who admitted to using AI applications for daily activities:
- Indonesia 60%
- Saudi Arabia 56%
- Malaysia 55%
- India 52%
- Brazil 47%
- China 39%
- South Korea 37%
- Mexico 32%
- England 31%
- France 30%
- Germany 28%
- Canada 27%
- Poland 27%
- United States 26%
- Netherlands 24%.
This survey targeted 500-8,600 respondents per country with an age range of 18-64 years. It was conducted between January and December 2025.
