Red Chili Prices in Traditional Markets for the March 2025-2026 Period

Quoting the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 14:44 WIB, the daily red chili price in traditional markets in Papua province was observed to drop by Rp1,250 compared to the previous day to Rp54,800 per kg.

Meanwhile, compared to the price in the last month, the daily red chili price in traditional markets has decreased from the previously recorded Rp77,400 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily red chili price in traditional markets in Papua over the past three months has fallen by 32.22%. According to historical food price records on the PIHPS price panel, the daily red chili price in traditional markets in Papua province was traded at Rp80,850 per kg.

The record increase in daily red chili prices in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in August 2023 with an increase of 61.85%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in August 2023 with a decrease of -39.66%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, today's prices of nine staple foods (sembako) in Papua show seven commodities have decreased and 13 others have increased. The sembako with falling prices are Curly Red Chili, Large Red Chili, Garlic, Red Chili, Rice, Medium Quality I Rice and Medium Quality II Rice.

9. Red Chili per Kg Rp66,500 per kg (down 4.66%)
