Central Java Food Prices Friday (April 18th): Prices of Chili Peppers, Eggs, and Salt Drop

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (18/4/2025) at 15.04 WIB, out of 25 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 15 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include garlic bulbs, farmer-level corn, packaged wheat flour, Indian mackerel, and curly red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken, table salt, chicken eggs, bulk cooking oil, and Minyakita decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Bulk wheat flour experienced the highest price increase, jumping Rp106 (1.21%) to Rp8,843 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili saw the sharpest price drop, falling Rp1,154 (1.43%) to Rp79,473 per kg.
