Food Prices Wednesday (20/8) Central Java Region: Salt Up, Onions Down

Prices of several food commodities in Central Java today were observed to be higher than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (20/8/2025) at 11:18 AM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include fresh buffalo meat (local), red cayenne pepper, bulk wheat flour, garlic bulbs, and packaged wheat flour.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as large red chili, milkfish, premium rice, broiler chicken meat, and consumption sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Consumption salt prices surged the highest by Rp485 (4.54%) to Rp11,157 per kg. Meanwhile, red onion prices fell the sharpest by Rp946 (2.13%) to Rp43,560 per kg.
