Today's Food Prices (Dec 23) in South Sumatra: Sugar Up, Red Chili Down

Prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today were observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Staple Food Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Tuesday (Dec 23, 2025) at 16:34 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 3 increased and 2 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include Honan garlic, bulk granulated sugar, and medium rice.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as large red chili and red bird's eye chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Bulk granulated sugar increased the most by Rp125 (0.73%) to Rp17,250 per kg. Meanwhile, large red chili prices fell the sharpest by Rp1,166 (2.2%) to Rp51,917 per kg.
