Today's Food Prices (17/3) in West Java: Rice, Chicken Meat and Beef Prices Rise

Some food commodity prices in West Java today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Tuesday (March 17, 2026) at 17:28 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 14 commodities increased and 2 commodities decreased.

Commodities that experienced price increases include red bird's eye chili, loose granulated sugar, medium rice, beef rump, and premium packaged palm cooking oil.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as minyakita and imported soybeans decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chili prices increased the most by Rp2,911 (6.72%) to Rp46,204 per kg. Meanwhile, imported soybean prices decreased the most by Rp38 (0.29%) to Rp13,269 per kg.

2. Red Bird's Eye Chili: Rp93,404 per kg (up 5.8%)
3. Large Red Chili: Rp54,364 per kg (up 5.28%)
4. Curly Red Chili: Rp46,204 per kg (up 6.72%)
5. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp41,809 per kg (up 1.17%)
6. Shallots: Rp39,296 per kg (up 0.19%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp35,127 per kg (up 0.96%)
8. Broiler Eggs: Rp31,000 per kg (up 0.28%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp20,593 per liter (up 0.75%)
10. Loose Palm Cooking Oil: Rp20,083 per liter (up 1.22%)
11. Loose Granulated Sugar: Rp17,673 per kg (up 0.14%)
12. Minyakita: Rp15,685 per liter (down 0.1%)
13. Premium Rice: Rp14,543 per kg (up 0.13%)
14. Imported Soybeans: Rp13,269 per kg (down 0.29%)
