According to the Jakpat survey, the entrepreneurial sector that most attracts the interest of Indonesians is the food and beverage.
In February 2026, 45% of respondents were interested in entrepreneurship in this sector or were already running a business in it.
Other sectors that are highly in demand are basic necessities or foodstuffs (30%), as well as fashion and textiles (21%).
If broken down by respondent category, those who do not yet have a business/prospective entrepreneurs tend to be more interested in the basic needs sector, such as food and agriculture.
Meanwhile, respondents who already have a business/are entrepreneurs show a stronger preference for the digital products sector.

Jakpat conducted this survey online on February 5-6, 2026, with 1,258 respondents from among prospective entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs.
The respondents were aged between 17-50 years old, came from various regions in Indonesia, with a margin of error below 5%.
