Today's Food Prices (17/3) in South Sumatra: Sugar and Onion Prices Rise

Several food commodity prices in South Sumatra were observed to increase today compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Tuesday (March 17, 2026) at 17:13 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 1 commodity decreased.

The commodities that experienced price increases are beef rump, large red chili, broiler chicken meat, curly red chili, and Honan garlic.

Meanwhile, only red bird's eye chili decreased compared to yesterday's price.

Honan garlic saw the highest increase of Rp271 (0.8%) to Rp34,000 per kg. Red bird's eye chili had the sharpest decrease of Rp289 (0.48%) to Rp59,300 per kg.

8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp29,118 per kg (unchanged)
9. Premium Packed Palm Cooking Oil: Rp19,751 per liter (unchanged)
10. Loose Granulated Sugar: Rp17,377 per kg (up 0.05%)
11. Loose Palm Cooking Oil: Rp16,825 per liter (unchanged)
