Today's Food Prices in East Java: Chicken and Sugar Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (2/1/2025) at 15.32 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 4 commodities increased in price and 17 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price are premium rice, simple packaged cooking oil, medium rice, and farmer-level corn.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as mackerel, bulk wheat flour, bulk cooking oil, SPHP rice, and chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn prices surged the highest by Rp710 (14.64%) to Rp5,560 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of milkfish decreased the most sharply by Rp2,550 (7.25%) to Rp32,640 per kg.
