Today's Food Prices in West Sumatra: Red Chili Prices Up, Water Buffalo Meat Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (29/3/2025) at 17.52 WIB, out of 24 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, bulk cooking oil, shallots, bulk wheat flour, and large red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as Minyakita, farmer-level corn, table salt, curly red chilies, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Skipjack tuna prices surged the highest by Rp23,936 (62.07%) to Rp62,500 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of farmer-level corn decreased the most by Rp6,027 (100.0%) to Rp0 per kg.
