Kompas Research and Development surveyed West Java residents about pressing issues in their region requiring immediate solutions.
The most urgent issue, according to the results, was job creation (44.8%).
Other pressing concerns included road repairs (30.8%), the price of basic commodities (27.9%), and equitable access to education/school zoning (21.2%).
According to Kompas Research and Development, these findings indicate that existing programs have failed to address systemic urgent issues.
"The emergence of economic and employment issues shows a significant gap between the real problems experienced by the community and the direction of the West Java Provincial Government's policies," stated the Kompas Research and Development team in their report on Tuesday (August 19, 2025).
West Java residents also highlighted issues such as waste management, security, healthcare facilities, public facilities, social assistance, traffic congestion, and others, as shown in the graph.
This survey involved 400 randomly selected respondents using a stratified systematic sampling method in West Java. The survey used multiple answer questions, allowing respondents to select more than one answer.
Data collection was conducted from July 1-5, 2025, through face-to-face interviews. The survey's margin of error is approximately 4.9% with a 95% confidence level, under conditions of simple random sampling.
