Today's Food Prices (March 12) in West Java: Red Chili Up, Onion Down

Some food commodity prices in West Java today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Thursday (March 12, 2026) at 17:28 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 10 increased and 1 decreased.

Commodities that saw price increases are large red chilies, red bird's eye chilies, shallots, medium rice, and premium packaged palm cooking oil.

Meanwhile, only Honan garlic decreased compared to yesterday's price.

Large red chili prices jumped the highest by Rp1,920 (4.43%) to Rp45,216 per kg. Honan garlic prices dropped the sharpest by Rp100 (0.29%) to Rp34,847 per kg.

6. Shallots: Rp38,907 per kg (up 0.08%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp34,847 per kg (down 0.29%)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp30,657 per kg (up 0.02%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp20,369 per liter (up 0.13%)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp19,430 per liter (up 0.94%)
