Chicken Meat Prices in Modern Markets for the April 2025-2026 Period

Based on the latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel, the daily chicken meat price in modern markets of South Sumatra province is recorded at Rp36,900 per kg. This price remains unchanged compared to the previous day, as is the case with price developments over the past week.

Meanwhile, over the past month, the daily chicken meat price in modern markets has increased from the previously recorded Rp36,200 per kg.

Over the past three months in South Sumatra, the daily chicken meat price in modern markets has increased by 7.89% from the previously recorded Rp34,200 per kg.

The record increase in daily chicken meat prices in modern markets in this province was previously recorded in July 2017 with a 36.44% increase, and the lowest decrease was recorded in July 2017 with a -34.59% decrease.

According to the PIHPS monitoring, today's prices of nine staple foods (sembako) in South Sumatra show that five commodities have decreased and 18 others have increased. The sembako with decreased prices are Low-Quality I Rice, Rice, Grade 1 Beef, Low-Quality II Rice, and Medium-Quality I Rice.

5. Green Bird's Eye Chili per Kg Rp94,500 per kg (up 110.47%)
6. Red Onions per Kg Rp49,700 per kg (unchanged)
7. White Sugar per Kg Rp17,500 per kg (unchanged)
8. Rice per Kg Rp14,950 per kg (down 7.14%)
9. Grade 2 Beef per Kg Rp157,950 per kg (up 13.06%)
10. Fresh Layer Chicken Eggs per Kg Rp31,000 per kg (up 16.1%)
