Chicken Egg Prices in Traditional Markets for the March 2025-2026 Period

Based on the latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center (PIHPS) panel, the daily chicken egg price in traditional markets in Papua province is recorded at Rp37,65 thousand. This price remains unchanged compared to the previous day and also over the past week.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily chicken egg price in traditional markets has decreased from the previously recorded Rp37,95 thousand.

Meanwhile, the daily chicken egg price in traditional markets in Papua has dropped by 1.18% over the past three months. According to historical food price records from the PIHPS price panel, the daily chicken egg price in traditional markets in Papua province was traded at Rp38.1 thousand.

The record increase in daily chicken egg prices in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in September 2022 with an increase of 97.93%, and the lowest decrease was also recorded in September 2022 with a decrease of -49.97%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, today's prices of nine staple foods (sembako) in Papua show that five commodities have decreased and 17 others have increased. The staple foods with decreasing prices are Rice, Low Quality I Rice, Low Quality II Rice, Medium Quality I Rice, and Medium Quality II Rice.
