Today's Food Prices (19/3) in Central Java: Beef, Red Chili and Egg Prices Rise

Several food commodity prices in Central Java were observed to increase today compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Thursday (March 19, 2026) at 15:17 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 12 increased and 3 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include imported soybeans, bulk granulated sugar, broiler chicken meat, beef rump, and Minyakita.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as red cayenne pepper, premium packaged palm cooking oil, and wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Large red chili commodity jumped the highest by Rp1,081 (2.3%) to Rp48,172 per kg. Meanwhile, red cayenne pepper price dropped the most by Rp1,286 (1.46%) to Rp86,857 per kg.

2. Red Cayenne Pepper: Rp86,857 per kg (down 1.46%)
3. Large Red Chili: Rp48,172 per kg (up 2.3%)
4. Curly Red Chili: Rp46,410 per kg (up 1.62%)
5. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp42,700 per kg (up 2.26%)
6. Shallots: Rp39,938 per kg (up 0.19%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp32,517 per kg (up 0.41%)
8. Broiler Eggs: Rp30,052 per kg (up 0.77%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp21,078 per liter (down 0.04%)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp18,685 per liter (up 0.07%)
11. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp17,379 per kg (up 0.17%)
12. Minyakita: Rp15,684 per liter (up 0.04%)
13. Premium Rice: Rp14,710 per kg (up 0.01%)
14. Medium Rice: Rp13,246 per kg (unchanged)
