The Indonesian Political Indicator Survey Institute collected data on Indonesian public satisfaction with the performance of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

The survey results show that a majority, or 75.8% of respondents, were satisfied with Jokowi's performance. This breaks down to 16% reporting being very satisfied and 59.8% stating they were fairly satisfied.

Indikator Politik notes that this figure is down from the July survey. In the survey conducted from July 15-21, 2023, public satisfaction with Jokowi's performance reached 81%.

"But in the current situation, a score of 75.8% is still quite good," said Burhanuddin Muhtadi, Senior Researcher at Indikator Politik Indonesia, in an online presentation of the survey on Sunday (12/11/2023).

High satisfaction with Jokowi's performance was largely contributed by those working as farmers, ranchers, or fishermen.

This respondent group comprised 15.9% of the total. Of this group, 79.7% were satisfied with Jokowi's performance.

This was followed by housewives, representing 29.5% of respondents. Of this group, 74.5% were satisfied with Jokowi's performance.

On the other hand, 21.6% of respondents were dissatisfied with Jokowi's performance. This comprised 19.5% who were somewhat dissatisfied and 2.1% who were completely dissatisfied. The remaining 0.6% of respondents either didn't know or didn't answer (DK/DA).

The survey involved 1,220 respondents aged 17 years and older or who were married. The sample was taken using multistage random sampling from all provinces, proportionally distributed.

Data collection was conducted from October 27 to November 1, 2023, using face-to-face interviews. The margin of error is 2.9% with a 95% confidence level.
