LSI Survey: Government Performance in the Economic Sector Remains Unsatisfactory

The Indonesian Survey Institute (LSI) survey shows that public assessment of the Jokowi administration's performance in the economy in 2019 was better than the previous year. However, this performance is still considered unsatisfactory.

31.8% of respondents rated the current national economic condition as good/very good. This is higher than the previous survey's 29.3%. Furthermore, the percentage of respondents stating that the national economic condition was bad/very bad slightly decreased to 28.1%. Unfortunately, respondents choosing "fair" still dominated, at 38.4% in 2019 and 39.4% in 2018.

This survey interviewed 1,550 respondents across 34 provinces selected using multistage random sampling, with a margin of error of approximately 2.5% and a 95% confidence level.
