Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Buffalo Meat Up, Red Chili Down

Prices of several food commodities in Central Java today were observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency's (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (12/10/2025) at 09:53 WIB, out of 25 commodities, 15 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases include fresh buffalo meat (local), consumption sugar, SPHP rice, medium rice, and packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as shallots, dried soybean seeds (imported), premium rice, mackerel, and red bird's eye chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Fresh buffalo meat (local) saw the highest increase of Rp5,833 (4.09%) to Rp148,333 per kg. The price of large red chili, however, experienced the deepest decrease of Rp1,976 (3.97%) to Rp47,741 per kg.
