IDX Composite Closed Up 0.42% to 8,645 (Monday, December 22, 2025)

The IDX Composite Index (IHSG) rose 0.42% to 8,645.84 at the close of trading on Monday (December 22, 2025).

"Domestically, window dressing, Christmas and New Year, as well as dividend play, are positive sentiments heading into the beginning of the year," said Indonesian Capital Market Observer Reydi Octa, as reported by Antara.

Based on the IDX-IC Sectoral Index, six stock sectors strengthened today. The energy sector led with a gain of 2.50%, followed by the basic materials sector and the non-primary consumer goods sector, which rose 1.94% and 0.80% respectively.

Meanwhile, five stock sectors corrected. The technology sector saw the deepest decline of 2.89%, followed by the property sector and the infrastructure sector, which fell 1.31% and 0.95% respectively.

According to RTI Business data, the frequency of domestic stock trading today reached 2.95 million transactions.

A total of 43.11 billion shares changed hands, with a total transaction value of Rp24.23 trillion.

A total of 433 stocks closed lower today, while 251 stocks strengthened, and 120 stocks remained stagnant.

Today's top gainer was PAMG, which soared 30.30%, followed by NETV and LRNA, which rose 25.64% and 25% respectively.

On the other hand, the issuer coded CSIS became the top loser after falling 19.66%, followed by FITT and CTTH, which corrected 14.96% and 14.91% respectively.

In line with the IHSG, Asian stock markets collectively closed in the green zone this afternoon. The Nikkei index rose 1.81% to 50,402.39; the Hang Seng index rose 0.43% to 25,801.77; the Shanghai index rose 0.69% to 3,917.36; and the Straits Times index rose 0.89% to 4,610.29.
