Indonesia, Among the World's Top Powdered Milk Consumers by 2025

*Whole milk powder* is whole powdered milk made by removing most of the water from fresh, pasteurized milk.

According to a report by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), the global consumption volume of powdered cow's milk is projected to reach 3.56 million metric tons in 2025.

During this period, China is set to be the country with the largest volume of powdered milk consumption globally, reaching 1.53 million metric tons. The country has also consistently led global powdered milk consumption since at least 2021.

Meanwhile, Indonesia ranks fifth globally, with powdered cow's milk consumption of 158 thousand metric tons.

1. China: 1.53 million metric tons

2. Brazil: 731 thousand metric tons

3. European Union: 446 thousand metric tons

4. Algeria: 213 thousand metric tons

5. Indonesia: 158 thousand metric tons

6. Mexico: 130 thousand metric tons

7. Russia: 86 thousand metric tons

8. Argentina: 60 thousand metric tons

9. Chile: 47 thousand metric tons

10. United States: 40 thousand metric tons
