Dedy said that public movement during the Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 period is predicted to reach 119.5 million people, an increase of 7.9% compared to last year.

He added that the peak of outbound holiday traffic is predicted to occur on December 20 and 24, 2025, while the peak of return holiday traffic is estimated to take place on December 28, 2025, and January 4, 2026.

According to Dedy, his agency has prepared traffic engineering schemes to anticipate the surge in vehicles during the year-end holiday period.

"Traffic engineering measures such as odd-even license plate restrictions, contraflow, and one-way systems have been prepared and will be massively communicated to the public," he said.
