Latest Food Prices in East Java: Salt, Sugar, and Oil Prices Decrease

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (17/9/2025) at 09.48 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases were premium rice, dried soybean seeds (imported), broiler chicken meat, curly red chili, and large red chili.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as garlic (bulb), pure beef, consumption sugar, corn at farmer level, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Curly red chili commodity saw the highest increase of Rp5,926 (14.54%) to Rp46,682 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of wheat flour (bulk) experienced the sharpest decrease of Rp269 (2.99%) to Rp8,731 per kg.

5. Mackerel: Rp34,750 per kg (down 1.48%)
6. Milkfish: Rp33,407 per kg (up 0.42%)
7. Shallots: Rp32,375 per kg (down 2.86%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp32,179 per kg (up 1.21%)
9. Large Red Chili: Rp32,167 per kg (up 7.44%)
10. Garlic (Bulb): Rp30,000 per kg (down 0.74%)
11. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp27,457 per kg (up 0.62%)
12. Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp19,677 per liter (down 0.54%)
