Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Egg Prices Up, Rice Prices Down (Monday, February 26, 2024)

Prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (26/2/2024) at 12:38 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, broiler chicken, milkfish, bulk wheat flour, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as iodized fine salt, dry soybean (import), red onion, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of chicken eggs saw the highest increase, jumping by Rp290 (1.03%) to Rp28,430 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of Indian mackerel saw the lowest decrease, dropping by Rp970 (2.91%) to Rp32,350 per kg.
