The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded five districts/cities in West Kalimantan with an average weekly vaccination rate above the provincial average of 1,778.44 doses as of Sunday, April 17, 2022.
The average vaccination rate for the top three districts/cities, exceeding 2,000 doses, are Sambas, Sanggau, and Landak, with 2,896 doses, 2,644 doses, and 2,311 doses respectively.
Sambas ranks first with an average weekly vaccination rate of 2,896 doses. Vaccine usage up to yesterday was recorded at 629,930 doses. In the national dashboard recapitulation, the achievement of complete vaccination in this region has reached 65.73 percent.
According to the Ministry of Health, the available vaccine stock in this district will run out in the next 28 days. This remaining usage time is calculated from the remaining stock of 82,936 doses, and vaccine usage is the highest in West Kalimantan.
Following Sambas is Sanggau in second place. The achievement of complete vaccination in this district has reached 77.78 percent. Compared to the previous week, the average weekly vaccination in this district reached 2,644 doses. The currently available vaccine stock is 30,124 doses. This stock is estimated to run out in the next 11 days.
Then Landak, with an average weekly vaccination of 2,311 doses, has achieved 67.83 percent complete vaccination coverage; Ketapang with 2,122 doses and 64.09% complete vaccination coverage; and Sintang with 1,785 doses and 67.5% complete vaccination coverage.
Areas outside Java with the highest average vaccination rates include Simalungun, Rokan Hulu, and Lampung Tengah, with average vaccinations of 7,506 doses, 6,305 doses, and 6,083 doses respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
