Prevalence of Insufficient Food Consumption in Dompu Decreased by 0.48% in the Last 5 Years

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reported that the prevalence of food inadequacy (Prevalence of Undernourishment/PoU) in Dompu Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, reached 2.25% in 2025.

This figure increased by 0.56% from the previous year's 1.69%, while in the last 5 years, it decreased by 0.48%.

The average PoU in Indonesia was 7.89% in 2025. This means that the PoU in Dompu Regency is lower than the national average.

According to the National Food Agency (Bapanas), PoU is a condition where a person regularly consumes an insufficient amount of food to meet the energy required for a normal, active, and healthy life.

This indicator can be used as a tool to assess food and nutrition insecurity.

This means that less than 2.25% of the total population in Dompu Regency consumes food but lacks sufficient energy intake.
