Indonesia and Japan recently signed 10 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with a total cooperation value of around US$23.1 billion at the Indonesia-Japan Business Forum held at the Imperial Hotel Tokyo on Monday (March 30, 2026).
The agreement is one of the outcomes of the visit by President Prabowo Subianto, along with Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto and several ministers of the Forward Indonesia Cabinet to Japan.
Prabowo noted that Japanese investments are of high quality because they are known for their discipline, technological mastery, and long-term commitment to industrial development.
"Japan brings quality in investment, discipline, technology, and long-term commitment."
"That's why Japanese investments are respected, not just in Indonesia but also around the world, and personally, I greatly appreciate this relationship," said President Prabowo, as reported by the press release of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Tuesday (31/3/2026).
