Meanwhile, automotive expert and Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) academic Yannes Martinus Pasaribu stated that the positive trend in EV sales in the first half of 2024 is due in part to government support in the form of various facilities.
These include policies to promote electric vehicles, subsidies, tax incentives, and the development of charging station infrastructure.
“Furthermore, EV prices have dropped significantly in recent years,” said Yannes in a statement, as reported by Antara on Thursday, April 18, 2024.
In addition, the proliferation of Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers in Indonesia has also contributed to increased purchases of electric vehicles.
