The Netflix streaming service is adjusting its subscription prices in the United States, effective March 26, 2026.
According to TechCrunch, this increase is due to improvements in service quality and the variety of entertainment offered.
In the past year, the streaming platform has expanded its content, from live broadcasts to the launch of new formats like video podcasts.
For the cheapest subscription plan, which includes ads, the price has risen from US$7.99 (about Rp136,000, assuming Rp17,035 per US$) to US$8.99 (Rp153,000) per month.
The standard plan without ads has also increased from US$17.99 (about Rp306,000) to US$19.99 (Rp340,400) per month.
The premium plan has also been raised to US$26.99 (about Rp459,800), from US$24.99 (Rp425,700) previously.
The price increases apply to new subscribers, while existing customers will have their fees adjusted gradually over the next few months, with notification via email at least one month in advance.
"Netflix last raised prices in January 2025. Since then, the company has updated its platform with a series of new additions," TechCrunch reported.
