Indonesia's trade balance with Austria recorded a deficit of US$0.25 billion in 2020. This trade deficit fell by -11.72% compared to the previous year's balance, which was recorded at US$ -0.23 billion.
The decline in Indonesia's trade balance with Austria was due to Indonesia's exports to Austria amounting to only US$37.23 million, while imports reached US$289.08 million.
The three main products imported from Austria were: Machinery, mechanical appliances, nuclear reactors, boilers; parts thereof (HS 84), Electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof; sound or television recording and reproducing apparatus (HS 85), and Optical, photographic, cinematographic, measuring, checking, precision, medical or surgical instruments and apparatus (HS 90).
Meanwhile, Indonesian exports to Austria have shown an upward trend over the past year. The previous year's export value was US$29.73 million.
Based on product type, there were 10 main export products from Indonesia to Austria that recorded a surplus during 2020. The total value of these main exports reached US$15.85 million.

The total value of Indonesia's trade balance was recorded at US$21.68 billion, or up 703.56%. In other words, Indonesia recorded a trade surplus. The previous year's trade balance with all countries worldwide was recorded at US$ -3.59 billion.
