According to a report by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Indonesia recorded a trade balance surplus of US$1.27 billion in February 2026.

However, this non-oil surplus was offset by a trade deficit in oil of US$0.92 billion. This deficit was driven by oil products and crude oil.

Cumulatively, during January-February 2026, the oil sector experienced a deficit of US$3.19 billion, while the non-oil sector recorded a surplus of US$5.42 billion. Thus, as of the second month of the year, Indonesia's trade balance showed a surplus of US$2.23 billion.
