Survey Indicator: Sandiaga Uno Leads as a Potential Vice Presidential Candidate in 2024

Indikator Politik's latest survey on the electability of presidential and vice-presidential candidates for the upcoming general election shows Sandiaga Uno achieving the highest electability as a vice-presidential candidate.

The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy garnered 20.4% support from respondents in a semi-open simulation of 30 names.

Following in second place as vice-presidential candidate is Anies Baswedan, the Governor of DKI Jakarta. The former Minister of Education and Culture holds 13% electability.

Third place is West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil with 8.5% electability as vice-president. He is followed by Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo with 8%.

Next is the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), Erick Thohir, with 6.4% electability. Then, the Chairman of the Democratic Party, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, has 5.1% electability as vice-president.

Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini has 3.1% electability as vice-president. Other figures have electability below 3% as vice-president.

Furthermore, Sandiaga Uno remains at the top in the simulation of 12 vice-presidential candidates, garnering 30.6% electability. Sandiaga Uno surpasses Ridwan Kamil with 13.2% electability, followed by Erick Thohir with 10.2%, and Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono with 9.3%.

In the nine-name simulation, Sandiaga Uno remains stable in first place, obtaining 37.1% electability as vice-president. He is followed by Erick Thohir with 12.8%, and Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono with 9.9%.

The Indikator Politik survey involved 2,020 respondents from 34 provinces in Indonesia. Respondents selected were at least 17 years old or married. The survey was conducted through face-to-face interviews, and sample determination used a multistage random sampling method with a margin of error of 2.9% and a 95% confidence level.
