According to a YouGov survey, there was little change in the sentiment of US citizens after their country, along with Israel, attacked Iran on Saturday (28/2/2026).
YouGov first asked questions about the attack shortly after the incident. It was then asked again on Monday (2/3/2026).
The results of the survey on US citizens' perceptions of their country's attack on Iran can be seen as follows:
Strongly or somewhat disagree

- February 28, 2026: 33%
- March 2, 2026: 37%
Not sure
- February 28, 2026: 22%
- March 2, 2026: 16%
According to political affiliation, YouGov said, the Democratic group became more likely to disagree with the attack, from 70% to 78%.
Meanwhile, the Republican group became more likely to agree, with a percentage of 68% to 76%.
"The Independent group remains twice as likely to disagree with the attack as to agree," YouGov said in its report.
YouGov conducted this survey online involving 1,654 US adults on February 28, 2026, and 1,633 people on March 2, 2026.
The sample was weighted based on gender, age, race, education, US census region, and political party. The margin of error for each survey was around 3%.
