The latest Indonesian Political Indicator survey shows that 38.6% of respondents were dissatisfied with the performance of President Joko Widodo. This breaks down to 30.5% reporting being somewhat dissatisfied and 8.1% being completely dissatisfied.

Furthermore, 8% of respondents cited uneven or inaccurate aid distribution, 5.7% cited income inequality, and 5.2% cited high unemployment.

President Jokowi was also perceived as unfair in law enforcement (4.3%). Other reasons included persistent poverty (3.6%), increasing national debt (3.5%), and political instability (3.4%).

According to respondents, several issues require attention from Jokowi and his successor over the next five years, including controlling the price of essential goods, creating jobs and reducing unemployment, and combating corruption.

This survey was conducted from April 14-19, 2022, involving 1,220 respondents across Indonesia. A multistage random sampling method was used. The margin of error (MoE) is approximately 2.9% at a 95% confidence level.
