Ganjar Pranowo's electability again surpasses that of Prabowo Subianto and Anies Baswedan as presidential candidates (Capres) for 2024. This is evident from the latest survey results from Saiful Mujani Research and Consulting (SMRC), conducted from November 5-13, 2022.
SMRC Research Director, Deni Irvani, in a written statement on Sunday (November 27, 2022), stated that the survey shows Ganjar Pranowo outperforming other Capres candidates.
"There are three names that received the most significant support, namely Ganjar Pranowo, Prabowo Subianto, and Anies Baswedan, while other names are still lagging behind," said Deni in his statement.
According to the simulation of the three names with the highest electability, the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, received 33.5% of respondent support. Meanwhile, the Minister of Defense, Prabowo Subianto, received 30% of respondent support, and the Capres from the National Democrat Party (Nasdem), Anies Baswedan, received 25.1%.
Ganjar Pranowo not only excelled in the simulation of the three leading names but also in the survey using a semi-open-ended question format with 45 public figures. In this simulation, the politician from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) also excelled, receiving the most support with 26.7% of respondent votes.
Following him, Gerindra Chairman Prabowo Subianto received 18.8% of respondent support, and the former Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, received 17%. West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil also received 3.7% support.
Meanwhile, the other 41 names that emerged as Capres 2024 candidates received less than 3% support, and 13.1% of respondents were undecided.
One factor contributing to Ganjar Pranowo's highest electability is the highest level of liking towards the Governor of Central Java, reaching 89% of those who knew him in November 2022. Meanwhile, the respondent's liking for Prabowo Subianto was 76%, followed by Anies Baswedan at 75%.
The SMRC survey, conducted from November 5-13, involved 1,220 respondents across 34 provinces, with a response rate of 1,028 or 83%.
The sample collection used a random sampling method with a margin of error of +/- 3.1% at a 95% confidence level.
