The President of the Republic of Indonesia (RI), Prabowo Subianto, and the President of the United States (US), Donald Trump, signed the Agreement on Reciprocal Trade (ART) on Thursday (19/2/2026).

According to the US presidential office, The White House, this new trade agreement paves the way for US products to enter Indonesia.

"The Trump Administration finalized a landmark trade agreement with Indonesia that will provide Americans with unprecedented market access," said The White House in a press release on Thursday (19/2/2026).

"Indonesia will eliminate tariff barriers on over 99% of U.S. products exported to Indonesia across all sectors, including for agricultural products, health products, seafood, information and communications technology, automotive products, and chemicals," they said.

According to the ART document, Annex IV: Purchase Commitments, there are also industrial and energy sector products that Indonesia shall import from the US, namely:

Commercial aircraft and aviation-related goods/services: US$13.5 billion
Refined gasoline: US$7 billion
Crude oil: US$4.5 billion
Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG): US$3.5 billion

The agreement also states that Indonesia shall increase imports of metallurgical coal and coal processing technology from the US. However, the value of the imports was not specified.
