According to a Kompas Research and Development (Litbang Kompas) survey, 96.4% of respondents stated they would definitely go to the polling station (TPS) to vote on Wednesday (February 14, 2024).

Kompas Litbang researcher Yohan Wahyu assessed that this indicates high public enthusiasm for exercising their right to vote in the 2024 General Election.

Only 2.5% of respondents stated they would abstain (golput) or not vote in the 2024 General Election, and 1.1% of respondents had not yet decided.

Litbang Kompas also asked respondents whether they already knew which presidential/vice-presidential candidates and political parties they would vote for.

As a result, 64.1% of respondents admitted to having made their choices, both for presidential/vice-presidential candidates and political parties.

Furthermore, 16.2% of respondents had only decided on a presidential candidate, 8.9% had not yet chosen because they were confused, 8.2% would make their choice at the polling station, and 1.6% had only chosen a political party.

This survey involved 510 respondents from 34 Indonesian provinces. The sample was randomly selected from Litbang Kompas panel respondents according to the population proportion in each province.

Data collection was conducted from January 29 to February 2, 2024, using a telephone interview method. This survey has a margin of error of approximately 4.35% under simple random sampling conditions and a 95% confidence level.
