The latest Polling Institute survey shows that the electability of presidential candidates Prabowo Subianto and Ganjar Pranowo is increasingly tight, while Anies Baswedan's electability lags significantly.

Based on a semi-open simulation of 19 names, Prabowo ranks first with 26.2% electability. He is followed by Ganjar in second place with 25.6% electability.

Meanwhile, Anies is significantly behind in third place with 14.8% of the vote. On the other hand, the remaining 16 names received less than 5% of the vote.

This includes former West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil with 4.3% electability, Democratic Party Chairman Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) with 2.1%, Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir with 1.9%, and Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Mahfud MD with 1.4%.

In a closed three-name simulation, Prabowo also leads in first place with 36.3% of respondent votes. This is followed by Ganjar with 32.4%, while Anies received only 20% of respondent votes.

The survey was conducted from August 21-25, 2023. The survey used telephone interviews with 1,201 respondents aged 17 and over or already married throughout Indonesia.

Sampling was conducted using random digit dialing (RDD). The margin of error is approximately 2.9% at a 95% confidence level.
