According to a survey by Indikator Politik Indonesia, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, also known as Ahok, is the strongest candidate in a simulated election for the Governor of Jakarta (DKI Jakarta).

In a simulation using an open-ended question (top of mind), the former Governor of Jakarta achieved the highest electability, at 12.6%. He was followed by the Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil, with an electability of 7.4%.

The name of the Chairman of the Democratic Party, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, also appeared with an electability of 3.7%, followed by Nasdem politician Ahmad Sahroni at 3.5%, Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka at 3.1%, and former Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria at 2.2%. Other figures had electability below 1%.

This survey was conducted through face-to-face interviews with 2,060 respondents in DKI Jakarta. All respondents were at least 17 years old or married at the time of the survey, which was conducted from February 24 to March 3, 2023.

Sample selection was conducted using multistage random sampling, with a margin of error of approximately 3.5% at a 95% confidence level.
