Today's Food Prices (March 12) in DKI Jakarta: Rice and Shallot Prices Rise

Some food commodity prices in DKI Jakarta today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Thursday (March 12, 2026) at 18:01 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 2 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include premium rice, shallots, bulk palm cooking oil, red cayenne pepper, and large red chili peppers.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as broiler chicken meat and broiler eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Large red chili pepper prices increased the most by Rp1,180 (2.23%) to Rp54,097 per kg. Meanwhile, broiler chicken meat prices decreased the most by Rp83 (0.2%) to Rp42,250 per kg.

2. Red Cayenne Pepper: Rp109,583 per kg (up 1.15%)

5. Curly Red Chili Pepper: Rp51,042 per kg (unchanged)
6. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp42,250 per kg (down 0.2%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp41,778 per kg (unchanged)
8. Broiler Eggs: Rp31,833 per kg (down 0.13%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp21,500 per liter (up 0.2%)
