How High is Public Trust in Businesses in Indonesia?

The recent Edelman Trust Barometer released a survey on the countries with the highest levels of business trust in 2022. The report shows that Indonesian society has a high level of trust in business.

Indonesia ranks second globally in business trust, with a percentage of 81%. This figure is up 3 points compared to last year. China holds the top rank with 84%, while India is in third place with 79%.

Following this, the level of public trust in business in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia is 78% and 74%, respectively. Malaysia and Mexico share the same figure at 71%.

The Edelman Trust Barometer is an annual survey of trust and credibility in democracy. Its variables encompass business, government, NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations), and media.

This survey covers 28 countries with over 36,000 respondents. The survey was conducted via online interviews between November 1st and 24th, 2021.
