Top 5 Political Parties with the Largest Campaign Funds in the 2019 General Election

The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) had the highest campaign expenditure in the 2019 General Election, reporting a total of Rp 345.02 billion. The majority of this funding came from contributions by legislative candidates (caleg).

Of the sixteen political parties participating in the 2019 General Election, five had the largest campaign funds. Following PDIP, the Golkar Party ranked second with a total campaign fund of Rp 307 billion. Golkar's campaign funds were sourced from various contributions, including individuals, non-governmental businesses, and caleg.

Next was the NasDem Party with total campaign funds of Rp 259 billion, sourced from party funds and caleg. Perindo ranked fourth with Rp 228.24 billion. In fifth place was the Democratic Party with Rp 189.73 billion in reported campaign funds, sourced from contributions by caleg, individuals, and non-governmental businesses.

Sixteen political parties participated in the 2019 General Election. The KPU mandated that these parties submit their Campaign Fund Income and Expenditure Reports (LPPDK) on Thursday, May 2nd. This is part of the implementation of public information transparency in the election process.
