Preliminary KPU Count: Cucun Ahmad Leads in West Java II Legislative Election

Based on the preliminary real count by the General Election Commission (KPU), Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal is leading in the 2019-2024 House of Representatives (DPR) legislative election (pileg) in West Java II electoral district.

This electoral district comprises Bandung Regency and West Bandung Regency, with a quota of 10 DPR seats.

As of Wednesday (21/2/2024) at 3 PM WIB, the PKB faction chairman in the DPR garnered 73,265 votes. Cucun surpassed former West Java Deputy Governor Dede Yusuf, who received 54,854 votes.

Following behind is former West Java Governor (2008-2018), Ahmad Heryawan, also known as Aher. This PKS-nominated legislative candidate obtained 41,127 votes.

Below is a list of the top 10 DPR legislative candidates in West Java II electoral district based on the KPU's real count data as of Wednesday (21/2/2024) at 3 PM WIB:

1. Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal (PKB): 73,265 votes
2. Dede Yusuf Macan Effendi (Democrat): 54,854 votes
3. Ahmad Heryawan (PKS): 41,127 votes
4. Ace Hasan Syadzily (Golkar): 35,638 votes
5. Anang Susanto Suhendar (Golkar): 33,115 votes
6. Dadang M. Naser (Golkar): 28,575 votes
7. Ahmad Najib Qodratullah (PAN): 28,608 votes
8. Taufik Hidayat (Golkar): 27,958 votes
9. Asep Romy Romaya (PKS): 19,957 votes
10. Denny Cagur (PDIP): 18,777 votes

Note that these vote counts are compiled from 6,912 polling stations (TPS), or 42.87% of the total 16,122 TPS in West Java II electoral district. The KPU will continue the tabulation process until March 20, 2024 at the latest.
