Current Food Prices in South Sumatra: Onion Prices Up, Egg Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (27/11/2024) at 09:49 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include iodized fine salt, garlic bulbs, bulk cooking oil, shallots, and medium-grain rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, bulk wheat flour, red chilies, pure beef, and chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots experienced the highest price increase of Rp1,800 (4.85%), reaching Rp38,950 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of dry soybean seeds (import) decreased the most sharply by Rp540 (5.28%), reaching Rp9,690 per kg.
