PT Pertamina (Persero) raised jet fuel prices for both domestic and international flights as of April 1, 2026.

For domestic flights, the average increase reached as much as 70% compared to the previous month (month-on-month/mom). Meanwhile, prices for international flights surged by up to 80% (mom).

Meanwhile, according to Katadata, jet fuel prices for international flights rose from US$0.742 per liter to US$1.338 per liter, or an increase of 80.32%.

Jet fuel prices for domestic flights at other airports range between Rp22,000 and Rp25,000 per liter.

In a Katadata report, Chairman of the National Air Carriers Association of Indonesia (INACA), Denon Prawiraatmadja, said the increase was in line with the association’s earlier projections.

“Jet fuel prices will rise in line with global prices due to the geopolitical crisis in the Middle East,” Denon said in a press release on Wednesday (April 1).

INACA has urged the government to immediately adjust the fuel surcharge and the upper limit of airfares for domestic flights.

According to him, the adjustment is necessary given the significant price increase. Fuel costs account for around 40% of airline operating expenses.

“Adjustments to the fuel surcharge and fare cap need to be implemented promptly so that airlines can continue operating, maintain flight safety, and sustain their financial viability,” he added.
