Latest Food Prices in West Java: Red Chili Prices Up, Rice Down

Prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (August 27, 2025) at 06:56 AM WIB, out of 24 commodities, 15 increased and 9 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include curly red chili, broiler eggs, red onion, garlic bulbs, and bulk wheat flour.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as corn at farmer level, premium rice, medium rice, packaged cooking oil, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Milkfish commodity jumped highest by Rp12,592 (33.66%) to Rp50,000 per kg. Meanwhile, SPHP rice price dropped most sharply by Rp12,456 (100.0%) to Rp0 per kg.

2. Large Red Chili: Rp50,000 per kg (up 23.46%)
3. Milkfish: Rp50,000 per kg (up 33.66%)
4. Mackerel: Rp50,000 per kg (up 20.31%)
5. Red Onion: Rp45,000 per kg (up 10.18%)
6. Curly Red Chili: Rp40,000 per kg (up 9.3%)
7. Red Bird''s Eye Chili: Rp40,000 per kg (up 12.07%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp40,000 per kg (up 9.08%)
9. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp37,750 per kg (up 9.3%)
10. Garlic Bulb: Rp37,000 per kg (up 5.93%)
