East Java Food Price Update Today: Egg and Sugar Prices Rise (Tuesday, February 6, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be higher compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (February 6th, 2024) at 10:03 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 15 experienced price increases and 4 experienced price decreases.

Commodities that saw price increases include skipjack tuna, red chilies, broiler chicken, premium rice, and curly red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, Indian mackerel, milkfish, and red onions decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp3,200 (6.08%) to Rp55,790 per kg. Milkfish saw the lowest price decrease, falling Rp1,440 (4.34%) to Rp31,720 per kg.
