Price of Super I Quality Rice in Modern Markets for the Period April 2025-2026

Quoting from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 08:23 WIB, the daily price of Super I quality rice in modern markets in North Sumatra province was recorded to have decreased by Rp100 per kg compared to the previous day, reaching Rp15,900 per kg.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of Super I quality rice in modern markets has increased from the previously recorded Rp15,200 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily price of Super I quality rice in modern markets in North Sumatra over the past three months has increased by 5.3% from the previously traded Rp15,100 per kg.

The record increase in the daily price of Super I quality rice in modern markets in this province was previously recorded in February 2017 with a 50% increase, and the lowest decrease was recorded in January 2017 with a -33.33% decrease.

According to PIHPS monitoring, today's prices of nine staple commodities in North Sumatra show that six commodities have decreased and 23 others have increased. The commodities with price decreases are Green Bird's Eye Chili, Large Red Chili, Bird's Eye Chili, Beef, Grade 1 Beef and Grade 2 Beef.

Here are the prices of nine staple commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to price developments in the last month in North Sumatra province:

7. Cooking Oil per Kg Rp21,600 per kg (up 5.62%)
8. Red Chili per Kg Rp68,450 per kg (up 3.24%)
9. Bird's Eye Chili per Kg Rp41,150 per kg (down 2.37%)
10. Medium I Quality Rice per Kg Rp14,650 per kg (up 4.64%)
11. Garlic per Kg Rp42,700 per kg (up 10.77%)
12. Medium II Quality Rice per Kg Rp14,800 per kg (up 4.59%)
